I received an email from one of the memders here, and thought I would post my reply, (Hope you don't mind BDrag)

Other Plans are availible based on driving habits, miles. (out to 125K now)
If you put 20K plus miles a year on your truck, you would want to go with shorter years and more miles, than the 7yr/100K listed and quoted below.
I can email a Ford ESP PremiumCARE brochure to anybody that wants to take a look at it. email me @ [email protected]

or you can go here and do some #'s crunching http://broadwayfordesp.com/
=============

Mornin Randy,

My dealer did the ole WE GOT ONE IN deal on me and I went for it. SO I have my Truck in my driveway now. I just wanted to thank you for you honest input on the who delay thing. So I need one more bit of advice from ya please.

So the truck I got has all the Nav and so on which I am sure will be a very expensive fix out of warranty. My dealer wanted $1780 for the extended warranty that would take me 7 years /100,000 miles. They told me I have a year or 12K to do it. Is this the correct price and can you sell the warranty to me and save me any cash?

---------------------
Marc, Glad they were able to help you get a Raptor. Your dealer did quote you a reduced ESP price plan. Did they say "standard deductible" ?

thanks randy

Not to slam warranties or extended warranties (I have ESP's on my Expedition and F350)....but.....

lolwarranties

Wife's car also has the warranty on it and for the average person, they are certainly a requirement.

I may take him up on this at some point, probably toward the end of the factory warranty...not interested in dealing with the problem when the Nav or productivity screen ***** the bed.

Yea..PITA. I'll simply replace the headunit. Supercharging my Raptor will make the local Ford dealer tell me I have voided yet another warranty, depending on what I broke.

Ford can't void your entire warranty due to a modification, even a supercharger. They can void the driveline warranty, but if the radio breaks, they're still on the hook.

Thanks to randy for posting this information. Went to the dealer and got the max 7 yr, 100K miles with the $50 deductible for the $1675. Had a questions because i'm having the dealer do the undercoating, rustproofing, and paint protector...and i came to the question will any of these void any warranties. I didn't think so cause the Dealer is the ones doing them.
