Took advantage of a slow shop and the hoist and finally installed my rear diff cover. The bolt that come with the cover are weak sauce. Broke three trying to hit the proper torque spec. So ended up running the original bolts. They where the same length.
What rear diff cover is that?

What leaf springs are those?

What geometry changed? Height of the bed? How much does that change your payload capacity? Ride?

Those are deavers. I'd bet +3's, so they add 1" to the rear, while eliminating the stock block. Payload is payload, changing springs doesn't change payload. Ride quality is night and day when putting +2 (stock height) or +3 deavers (+1") on your truck.

Most choose +3's, as when you're loaded to go on a run, you won't be sagging in the rear.

Those are deaver +3 with rpg +2 shackles. The deavers raise it an inch and the shackles lower it an inch (but increases rear droop so effectively increasing travel)
Ride height stays the same, but the ride quality is substantially better, immediately noticable
Payload also remains the same except i got the bump stop extension which increases the payload capicity by 3x
Towing with the bump stop extensions is amazing, that alone was worth it even though i dont tow that much. Not to mention it strengthens the frame and i have an air bump for offroading

Couple of these showed up. Decided to change out the two old KO spares with these. Then figure I will use these after I tear up my rears next month in Baja. Interested to see how KO2’s handle chunking.

@HAP it's is the Ford perf one, spicer makes em ford puts their tag on em and ups the price it seems. I paid 125.00cad for it. It come with a nice gasket I installed with it. Didn't use the hard ware it shipped with as three broke off trying to torque it. I reused old hardware. Plus to that was you don't loose the studded bolts for your abs wires and such.
