Snoball road salt was brutal.

Back home wasn’t any warmer until today. Went to the local car wash and line a f’ng up and long. Was hoping for a quick clean up. Brought it home, did it right and spent over 5 hours on it.

Jacked it up and removed the wheels

And finishing up with some Adam’s H20 guard

Got some Boeshield T-9 and did the suspension in all 4 wheel well. Damn aerosol wouldn’t work so thought it was empty of gas but brand new can (sitting in garage for over a year), drive a screwdriver into it to put in spray bottle. Haha, shit sprays out like a rocket to the ceiling. Big mess to clean up. Salvage enough in spray bottle to get the job done.

Now imagine being stuck like that for months at a time lol

My truck looks like that and its too damn cold to do anything about it... ugh And when it DOES warm up, its raining so the roads are covered with wet salt, so washing does you no favors.

Lugs look great!! What did you get?

These are the ones I got:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HLSJSK2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

But I'm pretty sure Gen2 is a different part number. I had researched the part number I needed from Gorilla's website and best price I could find was Summit, but I checked with Rick@Freedommotorsports first to see what his price was; they were out of stock but he gave me the link to amazon, which I hadn't noticed Summit was backordered and for a few more bucks I got them from amazon (thanks again Rick!). Also be advised there are some reports of these rusting in northern climates, I know there's a thread or two on here. For me in the desert southwest it's a non-issue though

Removed the ****** ass wiring job the person before me did and fixed all the connections, wired the relay correctly, removed the speaker wire that was being used for power, and added a magnetic switch so the lights come on when the tailgate opens.

Got a lot done this weekend; both lower balljoints, inner & outer tie rods and boots, PA transmission dipstick, mounted 5lb. fire extinguisher with 1/4" nutserts (got a pair of quickfists but I'm undecided on them and the location)...

take a look at these... Link

they are now making them for Gen1s.

I have them on my gen 2. They work REALLY well for organizing bed gear and mounting quick fists.

I decided to use a dry bag that I had left over from prepping my hurricane supplies to store my recovery gear. I used a pair of rachet straps to secure the bag to the bedside rack.

I'll be using another dry bag for emergency supplies once the rest of my rotopax stuff gets here and i know how much room I have left.
