The rearend went out on my cobra and the dealership wants more than I'm willing to pay for a stock replacement to fix it. I will be towing it home with my Raptor. My question is what kind of hitch do I need. I have the towing package but I've never had a truck before and I"m not sure about the hitches. I seen that they have straight ones and drop hitches.

You will need between a 2" and 4" drop depending on your trailer. The trailer nose should be level when hooked up so measure that height then select the right drop.

something that is rated for 10k and its going to be a 2 5/8s ball if this is a one time deal the drop of the hitch shouldnt matter matter unless you have a dove tail ive towed plenty of trailers with a straight out hitch cuz its stronger and cheaper. you can get away with a 6k 2 inch drop hitch depending on the weight of the cobra and trailer.
