Something loose in the rear

After returning from the DDII event in Maine and doing 600 miles of trails with big ass jumps thrown in, I am noticing - when I come to a complete stop or when I start from a stop, a "nudge" sound and sensation; like the bed is moving forward or back. Checked the bed bolts and looked underneath but everything seems fine.

Any other suggestions on where to look?

Did you have the brakes done recently? I would check the caliper hats, lug nuts, and leaf springs.

The driveshaft is designed to move within the slip yolk.

Yes had R1's done prior to DDII. Swapped tir e s and wheels back to KO2'S and torqued lug nuts after run. But will check caliper hats and leaf springs. Thanks.

May just bring and have everything underneath torqued back to spec

How is that checked? Those are torque to yield. How does one measure yield on a torque wrench?

Basically torque to 98 ft lbs but there is a gradual process:

Stage 1: Tighten in a cross pattern to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).

Stage 2: Tighten in a cross pattern to 70 Nm (52 lb-ft).

Stage 3: Tighten in a cross pattern to 100 Nm (74 lb-ft).

Stage 4: Tighten in a cross pattern to 133 Nm (98 lb-ft).

Thanks for the info. I was asking because honestly did not know. I was going by the torque specs here:

Doing some research, I did learn something. It's not really an exact torque. Its about getting the u-bolts to fit properly around the top plate. So if 98lb-ft actually achieves it, then you are golden, but I am going to check how that looks and tighten if not. I do not have stock leaf springs, top plate or u-bolts.

Looked at the ICON RXT Leaf springs that come with u-bolts, those are torqued to 145ft-lbs. Torque to 40ft-lbs when in the air and final when on the ground. Lesson learned, always check what you have and following the manufacture's recommendations.
