Away from my truck right now but it's in your owners manual somewhere.

Sorry for my post being so vague. I will try to find it later

Start by making sure:

  • The parking brake is set
• The gearshift is in P (Park)
• The ignition switch is in the off position
• The driver and front passenger safety belts are unbuckled

1. Turn the ignition switch to the on position. DO NOT START THE
ENGINE.
2. Wait until the safety belt warning light turns off. (Approximately one
minute)
• Step 3 must be completed within 30 seconds after the safety belt
warning light turns off.
3. For the seating position being disabled, buckle then unbuckle the
safety belt three times, ending in the unbuckled state.
• After Step 3, the restraint system warning light (airbag light) will be
turned on for three seconds.
4. Within approximately seven seconds of the light turning off, buckle
then unbuckle the safety belt.
• This will disable the Belt-Minder feature for that seating position if it
is currently enabled. As confirmation, the restraint system warning
light will flash four times per second for three seconds.
• This will enable the Belt-Minder feature for that seating position if it
is currently disabled. As confirmation, the restraint system warning
light will flash four times per second for three seconds, followed by
three seconds with the light off, then followed by the restraint system
warning light flashing four times per second for three seconds again

Just buckle it up. Chime goes right off.

Jk. Sorry I couldn't help myself. It is in the owners manual. If you fail the first time around repeat as necessary to get it done. Sometimes it doesn't work on the first attempt

Hmm.... Shouldn't have to. Once its off, its off. Mines been off/stayed for over a year. I think it might default if you disconnect the battery though.

This will be great. Roaming around the farm was really annoying with the light and chime going off in my ear all the time

In situations like that I run the seat belt behind the seat and plug it in. Vehicle thinks it is plugged in. I do this at the track with my Mustangs too since I am using a 6pt harness.

Ive noticed if your driving, then make a stop some where and put the car in park and get out, then get back in with the engine running the light goes off for the rest of the trip. My Chevy Colorado did this, I always thought it was some type of "delivery boy" mode where if you get in and out a lot, it wont bug you.
