Rust Proofing: Paint? Sacraficial Annode? Other?

I'm pretty fortunate in that I don't have to worry about salted roads where I live. But I know I'm in the minority.

What are you guys doing to protect against rust? Anyone ever tried a sacrafical annode solution on their car/truck? Something like this? http://www.ruststoponline.com/

What about paint? Anything work?

Or do ya just keep the thing washed off and cross your fingers?

I keep it washed and cross my fingers. Has worked in Colorado. Haven't lost a veh to rust/corrosion yet. Oh, and along with the finger crossing I'm knockin' on wood!
