My first of-road experience in my 2011 SCAB was to take it over Cinnamon Pass in southwestern Colorado. It is a 19.5 mile dirt road that goes up to the pass at 12,640 feet of elevation. It's pretty much the shortest distance between Lake City and Silverton, and scenic as all getout.

At about 12,400 feet on the Lake City side we encountered a stranded motorcyclist. He had found the only rock in a hairpin turn with his engine case, and had ruined his clutch and dumped all of his motor oil out on the ground. He was well and truly stranded at high altitude in one of the most remote places in North America. Could we help him? Damn right we could. I've been looking for an "OFFICIAL HONDA RECOVERY VEHICLE" bumper sticker ever since.
