Lift the lower cushion up to fold the seat. That will kick the back portion of the seat slightly forward and let you remove the headrests.

Lean those headrests more forward, they come off with a little motivation!

Getting them back in is the hard part.

Removed mine as the seat sits.....just manhandle them a bit and they come out ok.

They are in the way. I havr thought about taking them out.
