Project Raptor Coming Along

My Project Raptor, purchased from Team Ford in Las Vegas, Nevada, is finished. Here are a few photos:



The very first mod was a stubby antenna from Craven Speed.



Next was a Ford Racing skidplate.



Along with the skidplate, I installed a Ford Racing light bar and four 8" KC lights. Wiring them took longer than bolting them on.



Finally, Deaver rear leaf packs let the rear work as well as the front.

and a BakFlip F1 tonneau cover.



The Ford light bar with KC lights worked well, but I decided I wanted to look a little more incognito. To this end, I installed a Rigid Industries 40" E-Series LED light bar behind the grille. It installed in existing holes and was extremely easy to wire with the supplied harness.

Phase II included the installation of . . .



A Ford Sportliner by BedRug . . .



and a BakFlip F1 tonneau cover.



The Ford light bar with KC lights worked well, but I decided I wanted to look a little more incognito. To this end, I installed a Rigid Industries 40" E-Series LED light bar behind the grille. It installed in existing holes and was extremely easy to wire with the supplied harness.

As I didn't want to break down the OE wheels with BFG tires, I purchased another set of Raptor wheels, TPMS sending units, SVT center caps and mounted up a set of Mickey Thompson Baja Radial MTZ tires. The tires are aggresive and work well when the terrain gets rough. They are a little noisy on the highway and don't ride quite as well as OE. I still have the BFGs on the original wheels ready to go when needed.

The Raptor is a great truck!
