“Affected build dates”. However, there’s no guarantee you’re good outside of these dates. Not trying to be chicken little, but my experience shows these dates are not accurate.

Vehicle Model Year Assembly Plant Build Dates

F-150 2011-2012

Dearborn February 11, 2011 through September 8, 2012

Kansas City April 5, 2011 through June 13, 2012

Dealer says NTSA bulliten doesn't apply to my vin. Build date confirms that. Not much to be done since there's also no symptoms or issues.

Well that really sucks. Was hoping I'd be out of the recalls. I have had some strange down shifting a few years back but hasn't done it in awhile. Only weird shift now is from cold having a big delay from 1-2nd on slight acceleration.

I too am more interested in the rear defrost.

A broken rear window won’t cause you to be rear ended by an 18 wheeler.

My truck ran fine for 80k+ miles and then one day it went from cruising in 6th gear to being slammed into 1st and the rear tires locking up and the engine red lined.

Imagine being the car riding behind me. No brake lights, no warning, just a sudden 40+mph speed reduction.

We’ve had cars with typical recalls, but none that ever had such a potential to spontaneously cause an accident without warning.

I'm not sure what your point is other than wanting acknowledgement or attention? I mean..
You already have your recall which is a great thing. Seems like people who have the recall want people who don't need the recall to have to get the recall.

I don't need the recall.

That being said, I would like the rear defrost addressed.

My point is brining attention to the fact that Ford’s build dates are incorrect and they’re denying repairs for trucks that have the potential for a serious incident. They told me the same story of my truck being “good”

I was sharing the info so others may choose to get their trucks repaired before it happened to them.
