If I end up having to get rid of my Raptor I'm going to blame it on Obama and the affordable care act. That or the Indians "cough" MOB "cough" and their casino's.

I spent the last 2.5 years getting this truck set just the way I want/need it for what I like to do.
I had planned to be buried in the thing when the time comes.
That said, Damn truck is in the shop again!
This time a mystery transmission issue and I am rolling around in a little POS Nissan rental car.

*Sell it?- NO
*Bitch and moan?- YES

It's happening right before our eyes. Lots of Raptors hitting the market will drive down the price. I think the price will plummet when Ford releases the final specs on the 2017.

I have been debating selling mine also. I test drove the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT and it is a beast. BUT the functionality of the Raptor can't be beat by any truck (or car) on the road. I am trying to make it work and own both. :)

I've actually considered buying a bunch up and stock piling them and when everyone that sold their Raptor realizes they miss it and don't like the new one I can have a huge Raptor sale and make some money. :head3:

I know for a fact people are going to miss the big ole 6.2

I go through vehicles every 6 months or so simply because I get bored. But I can't seem to get bored of the raptor. I'm fortunate enough to outright own my truck. As it sits right now, I am in about $100,000 on my raptor, so I don't plan on getting rid of it any time soon.

Ding, ding, ding!!

I think the Raptor brought in some folks whose primary focus had been cars. They saw the Raptor, bought one, modded it a little (or a lot), got bored, went back to cars.

I agree with what you're saying and I would actually classify myself as a car guy but my son turned me on to this truck and he kept poking at me to test drive one and so I did to get him off my back and the rest was history. Going on 4 years now and I will be completely honest with you I never had intentions of keeping this truck for this long and I can honestly say this is the longest vehicle I've kept in the last 20+ years. I've had maybe 14 cars these last 4 years and I only considered trading my truck once but didn't do it due to me saving this truck for my son. Shit my son is more wrong than right most of the time but I can really say that when it comes to cars & trucks this has been one of my best decisions. Haven't had one problem with it so far (knock on wood), got a couple guys who will pay me north of $40k for it and it still brings a smile to my face like the first day i went out to Oklahoma to pick it up and drive her back home. My days with this truck are coming to an end as I'm handing it off to my son as he's waited patiently and finally becoming a man. Kid is a raptor fanatic and you'll probably see him on here in the near future. This forum has been awesome and I think the guys and gals on here are a real special bunch I really do. I think other auto forums should take note and strive to be as helpful and classy as you all have been. My raptor days aren't over as I made it known that whenever I feel like driving it that I sure as hell don't have to ask and I'll be back on here one day if I end up deciding on getting the new truck or another current generation more preferably a 14 SE but we'll see what happens. I appreciate everything guys and keep your trucks as long as you possibly can.
