Outlaw has a pretty good deal since it includes the mount and external antenna for $599. Free shipping but we do get nailed on the tax since we live CA. The lower priced ones I found didn't include the external antenna. You don't have to have it though.

A update to this thread to help anyone looking.

We did a route where we had one truck with a Lowrance and one with Back Country Navigator Android software.

The android app is about 50 feet slow to where the truck is in relationship to a turn. However you can easily see the trail you want and make all the needed turns. The Lowrance gives you a more accurate on the move to turn and allows hazard marking with a front face button. You can mark hazards on tablet and phone apps like Back Country but you need to stop unless you have a navigator. There is no quick mark feature.

So in truth Tablet / Phone or Lowrance will all work just fine no matter what trail or who you run with. A tablet option will be the cheapest solution at around $150 to make a "gps kit"

Hope that helps
