10 years ago when I was in high school (seems like yesterday), I had a 2004 Lightning. Luckily no one ever messed with it but people would always have their comments. Just be the bigger person and ignore it. If your buddy can't own up to it and reimburse you, forget him, probably wasn't that good of a friend to begin with.
