I need a new motor...

Good afternoon. Valve spring exploded yesterday. Bunch of metal in cylinder.

Motor probably toast. Does not run. Towed to shop. Totally stock no mods, mostly freeway miles.

Anyone know of any used 6.2L's out there for sale?

Thought I'd ask while I troubleshoot the possibility of rebuilding vs replace.

How many miles did you have on the engine. Just asking

I saw a couple of Raptor 6.7 motors in the Phoenix craigslist.

that motor isnt toast even by a long shot, that shop just might not have the knowledge or skills required to rebuild whats broken.

if you exploded a spring and it didnt damage the cylinder wall. replace the spring and valve and piston and slap that bitch back together.
you are looking around 1/15 the cost with this method.

Any warranty?

nope warranty is up. still in shop...putting motor back in this week. new spring, valve, piston.

good as new?

selling soon...buy 2019.
