How many tools does it take?

How many tools and what types do you take with you on offroad trips? I use to carry my craftsman 250 piece tool set with me where ever I went, but now that I have a brand new truck I don't think I need to be carrying that many tools with me. I'm curious what your taking with you on long offroad trips.

New truck or not I will always carry to many tools for the job

My off road bags consist of:
2 bags full of tools, never counted but I'm guessing 250 tools in each, plus the bags also have various tapes, zip ties, plug kits, and other things like lock tight.
Even if I'm just going somewhere none dezert related more than 30 miles from home I will take a 180 piece socket set

I hate working on my trucks outside of my garage, but I hate not having tools even worse than that

Swiss army knife and roll of duct tape

(If it is good enough for macgyver it is good enough for me)
