I think they'll keep the 6.2 Forever and ever and ever and never ever upgrade powertrains again. Are you kidding me lol? Aren't these forums enthusiasts boards? Or are they "the best combo out there is only the one I already own, ford can never improve upon it, and if they have any potential areas they could improve on, lets shoot that discussion down right away because that'd be stupid!". These boards are for discussion. I understand having pride in your own vehicle, but it's funny how much negative response there has been to the 2012's between wheels, graphics, seat color, and now with 2013 spy shots. If nobody had a Raptor yet and we all wanted one, I'm damn sure most of you would be rooting for an option to be a supercharged 5.8. Believe me I'd be as pissed as you can get if the 2013's are packing a new powertrain after I held off from getting a 2011 to see what was new for 2012, and finally ordered a 2012, but that doesn't mean I'm goin to hope the 2013 is teh same thing as my 2012 or that it sucks. I'm always for improvement, because there's always an opportunity to upgrade in the future then.




I agree they're probably testing some other things out, but on the flip side they may not be. There's usually always minor tweaks here and there, especially if it's raptor specific like the torsen diff, they'd need to test it in the raptor itself. maybe they're adding EPAS for 2013 and testing how it does with the larger tires. Who knows. But I'm sure if projector HID's are new for 2013's they're still going to keep the smoked headlight theme for 2013 so probably made a test set for the Raptor as well to see how it fits the look.



It's definitely a '12 wheel. It plays more of an optical illusion since the focal area of the 2010-2011 spokes are all painted, yet the 2012 wheels the focal point isn't the shape of the spokes themselves but rather the machined area. But when it's painted black the shape of the spokes themselves stand out again. See attached.
