Best way to ship fenders?

I am trying to figure out how to ship my fenders to a buyer and the rates I am seeing on Fedex.com and UPS.com are crazy because of the size. How have you guys shipped fenders and kept the cost reasonable?

Greyhound or freight. Greyhound will be much cheaper. It cost me a couple hundred to ship them so charge accordingly. It will be a big ass box.

Put them in a box on a pallet. Lots of foam and bubble wrap. Expect $150-200 shipping.

That would make sense. When I put in the dimensions at FEDEX.com it told me around $1,000 Who do you ship through to get those rates?
