I want to get a jumper box to keep around and I want it to be able to start my Gen 1. I prefer the Lithium batteries, like the GB40. Anyone have any experience starting a Raptor with GB40? Or what the startup amps requirement is for the Gen 1?

I just want o=to buy the right one. The GB70 is the next step up, but its double the price. The GB40 says its max 1000 amps.

I purchased this one over a year ago and have used it quite a few times to jump start my Raptor, no issues and works great. Not as small as the Lithium ones though.

That microstart looks nice. It says the peak amps is 400. I was looking at the GB 40 https://no.co/gb40, which says peak amps are 1000.

Both say they start engines up to 6.0L, which of course does not include the Gen 1 v8. That's what I was trying to figure out.

Think I might just leave the Stanley one in the garage and get that Microstart XP10 instead of the XP1 to keep in the truck. But both the Microstart and GB can only be stored up to 122 degrees so with summer heat, that won’t work....

The gb40 is probably a good "bang for buck" and you probably can't go wrong.
However, that comparison article is straight up a gb40 ad
