This hits just keep coming on this one. I will have to say, this build is just not going as well as the preceding several dozen. I am beginning to regret purchasing this truck from 74Auto. As you have followed we have discovered the steering rack issue which was masked by them installing the steering wheel upside down, the rear right spring which was masked by heating it with a torch and bending in back into shape, the bent rear end housing which I was verbally informed was only the axle shaft, not the housing..etc.etc.etc. So today we set the bed on the truck only to find the frame is significantly bent under the cab and has been previously pulled to look better, but made it irreparable. I am now going to be needing a new frame.

EDIT - no longer selling the 5.5' bed. However, I am still considering changing the frame to enable the installation of a 6.5' bed...but now it is because I want to, not because I have to. Going to do some additional research, but this could be fun.

Well, I went by and took a few shots before heading out of town. My guy was able to get it straight after-all and it is coming along quite well.

I picked her up this AM and WOW...I am in love with this truck. I still need to finish the exhaust and install a couple small trim pieces on the bed.

But she is painted and basically finished....at least for the basics. Now bring on the mods!

I ordered some FORD letter outlines and installed those this afternoon too...along with a new clock spring behind the steering wheel. That solved the rest of the dummy lights and gave me the steering wheel controls that were previously not functioning. When 74Auto installed the steering wheel upside-down, they must have spun the clockspring around until the internal wires broke. I am quite happy that is all that was wrong.

I will try to get some good pics on the next sunny day. She really turned out great.

Al-Jazz,
the bend in the frame pictured is usually from the rear axle tubes hitting the bumpstops...usually from a jump. The frame above the bumpstops has hole that makes the frame weak. 2013+ frames were reinforced in that area. I would suggest getting frame reinforcing kit/air bumpstops to protect the frame. RPG, SVC, ICON, and others have bolt on kits that greatly strengthen this area...

Went camping this weekend and she towed the camp trailer perfectly...even had some time to do some trail riding.
