It's not like you can crush it up and put it into a plastic back to turn into your recycle center... >:} (...or maybe you can...hmmmmm)

100%---ever see what they do for copper wire??? Do the math--scum bags are just that. If there is a will there is a way. Mark this post and come back to it in 2 years.
F150's have had aluminum hoods since 1997. Mustang's have aluminum hoods and so do many other cars. Do you hear of many reports of cars having their hoods stolen?

it's not the same aluminum that you can just sell as can aluminum

You are correct --it is a higher grade... It may be 7075 in a T6 or T5 condition.

I don't see why they couldn't keep the 6.2 in a next gen Raptor. Is there any reason CAFE would have anything to do with it? Being there's such a small amount sold it would have minimal effect on their truck mpg. Now if they discontinue that motor that might be a different story but otherwise why not?

It needs three things for me to buy one, 1. It needs a raptor trim that looks and performs better than the current model, 2. It needs molten orange available for at least one year of the raptor, 3. It NEEDS a fully updated 6.2

Put some lift on it with bigger tires and it will look pretty badass I think, much like the Atlas.

I do think Ford will do well with this new truck. As long as they can keep the price competitive, people will love the features, the gas mileage and likely the acceleration of a lighter truck.

Overall impressed. Always liked the Atlas. Interior looks excellent.

Guessing it's going to be extraordinarily expensive. Hope this isn't the case, but I'm guessing add $10k to the price of your Raptor if you want to know what an "equivalent" 2016 will cost. It won't jsut be "equivalent", it'll be better, but to check the boxes for the stuff you have now you'll have to pay $10k more. I'm completely making this up, hope I'm wrong, but guessing I'm right, especially if the new Silverado pricing is any kind of indicator.

Anyone seen a picture of one of these with non-20" wheels? Wonder if the FX4 will even offer anything but 20s?
