More info:
Here's The 2015 Ford F-150 Order Guide & Options Price List

Plus some additional info from Mike Levine (formerly of Picktrucks.com, now he works for Ford).
At first glance, the model lineup has been simplified from 10 models to XL, XLT, Lariat, Platinum and King Ranch. However, what you can see in the order guide are new Appearance Packages, such as "Sport Appearance Package" (monochromatic paint, bumpers) and "Chrome Appearance Package" (extra chrome!).

  • XL + Sport Appearance Package = 2014 STX
  • XLT + Sport Appearance Package = 2014 FX2
  • FX4 no longer is available as a distinct model. It now is available as a stand-alone package – adding extra off-road capability, including skid plates, a rear e-locker axle and unique box-side graphics.
  • XLT + Sport Appearance Package + FX4 = 2014 FX4
  • What I think is cool about making FX4 stand alone is that customers can configure, for example, an XL FX4 truck, if they want a highly capable off-road base truck.
  • There is no Limited for 2015.
  • There will be more news to share about F-150 Raptor at a later date.

Everything is smaller including the motor. I may keep this gas hog for longer than I anticipated.

Finally added Intelligent Access and Push-Button Start! Got rid of the crappy Sony audio system for a Kicker setup, hopefully it's better.

2.7 Ecoboost says 325HP and 375 TQ. Thats not too shabby for the little motor..

Turbo motors are great. I'd be worried about reliability off-road, but on-road they are great. And for a tow vehicle, it's arguably much better than having a V8. The Ecoboost makes peak tq around 2500rpms whereas our 6.2L doesn't make peak tq until 4,000rpms.

Agreed..especially in the towing department. Its nice having the low torque and not having to rev up so high to get into the peak torque. I love the feel you get when the turbo spools.

I just talked to a guy who parked his F150 next to me in the way back section of the grocery store parking lot. He said he knows a guy at ford and he said that the 2016 Raptor is going to have the 5.0 twin turbo ecoboost.... so there you go its pretty much official now.

This MAY just MAY make me jump out of this Raptor into the new 2016. We'll See... Hell, by then it'll be paid for. I can just keep this one for my 5 y/o son and get the new 2016 with the 5.0 Twin Turbo Ecoboost...

=)
