Yesterday I was lucky enough to witness a convoy of 2015 Ford F-150 prototypes leaving the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park heading east through Cody, Wyoming (where I live) and managed to capture several photos. There were 4 trucks total, 1 silver, 1 white, and 2 black trucks each wearing distinctive triangular pattern camouflage and all sporting Michigan plates. As I passed, the drivers of each truck were monitoring laptops mounted to the center console. As I began to snap pictures, I watched the driver of the rear truck pick up a handheld radio to radio ahead to the others. Upon doing this, all 4 trucks bunched up (for lack of a better term) and would not allow me in between them as we headed through town. I was able to get ahead of the lead silver truck and provide a Raptor ****** through town! As I snapped my final shot (in my rearview mirror) I could have swore I saw the lead driver taking a picture of my truck! I'd like to think he was thinking "That's a bad ass blue Raptor leading me through this po-dunk town!" Anyway, I thought this was a pretty cool experience and thought I would share some photos. Personally, not a fan of new Tundra look alike F-150 body style. I'm speculating that they were testing 4 distinctly different engine configurations cross-country. Just a guess. Here ya go and please excuse the crappy cell phone pics...

Cool, not really diggin the front end. I wonder why they put all the triangles on them if they dont want to be noticed??

They know they are going to be noticed regardless. The triangles make it hard to see any body lines or anything that might give away something they haven't announced just yet.

I am surprised because they appear to be painted on. I saw a Corvette that was totally wrapped just before release. I thought it was interesting that they were concerned with camouflage, even though it was a few weeks before it was going to be released.

The Vette (and possibly these F150s) could of been long term test vehicles and have a ton of miles on them. Not worth the downtime to change the paint when they need to make sure everything will be ready by launch.

Very nice! We all know that the Raptor will be totally different in looks, but it's cool to see the line of new F150s!

There's a couple of those un-camo'd here in Detroit. Along with a bunch of Stangs all with manufacturers plate on them. I'll snap some tomorrow. As far as I can tell, the body is still the same as the one unveiled at the Autoshow.
