NO, the 2012 Raptor WILL NOT BE MASS PRODUCED??? Show me who posted that?

The 2011 Raptor will be about 2% of total F150 build.

The Total Raptor Build for 2010 was 10437 (which included 19 Pre-Production Units) 4635 5.4L's and 5802 6.2L's

when i was googling shit on the 2012 when i was doing my order, and dont know where i saw it, but i swear one of the news type sites said the Raptor would be mass produced for 2012..... evidently they were wrong, but i know i read it on the interwebs too.

I have seen a million different people asking this same question on all manner of Ford forums.. Some even think the Raptor goes down a special assembly line, or has its own assembly line. I think that is where a lot of this misconception comes from.. That the raptor is like the Shelby or something and gets shipped off as a regular ol' truck to an SVT facility to be turned into a Raptor.. Heck even I was wrong when I first started looking into Raptors, I thought they got built in 'batches', that was why the wait was so damn long; come to find out its just a backlog across the board for Ford trucks, plus parts shortages now...

As far as I know it goes down the same assembly line as every other F150, just has different stops and a unique inspection point if I recall correctly. Someone on here posted a video of the Dearborn plant on here a while back and it clearly showed raptors on the same line, just few and far between when compared to the hundreds of regular F150's.

They do run down the same assembly line at the Rouge Plant as all the F-150s. My order went in on May 24 (My son's birthday, lake actually born birthday) and was built In the middle of the night on June 27. I was suppose to go to the plant, but it came down the line on one of the late shifts and was built before my inside guys could get me in. It was delivered to the dealership on July 1 with a bunch of other pickups, and two other Raptors.

So I think they may be sequenced when possible. Dealer gave me a "order deadline" to make sure my truck was built in the June / July build. I cannot confirm is the deadline was true, or a way to pressure me into the purchase. Based on my relationship, I don't think they would try that tactic to get me to order one sooner.

Yes, I am a new owner, will introduce my self later when I get a chance to load some pics and spend on time on here. Automotive supplier job in summer + 2 month old baby + weekend farm = not enough time for truck work / talk.
