I did a search, but couldn't find any specifics...

I've read so much the past week after getting my Raptor, I can't remember where I read it... but...

I thought I read somewhere that folks have either had the orange reflectors on the fronts of their side mirrors painted black or there was an aftermarket smoked reflector lense available? Or they had the lenses "tinted" black/gray...

Is this something I can buy from Ford? Who does the "tinting"

Birdman, you said you had yours tinted by Hi-Tech... what was the turn around time and cost to tint?

Maxx2893, you said the part numbers are:

Left: 9L3Z17E749AA
Right: 9L3Z17E748AA

What color are these part numbers? Gloss Black?

Hey Mark, the ones you listed the part numbers for are in the same black color and texture as the lower halves of your Rap's side view mirrors... They blend right in.

For the cool lookin' smoked effect, PM Raptizzle, he owns Hi Tech and will take good care of you... He shoots them with a mixture of clear and black to get the smoked effect... I've been meaning to send mine his way.

Its the exact same plastic material as bottom half of mirrors. Just order them in parts department at local dealer for ~$20 total.

I had mine tinted by Hi-Tech (Raptizzle). He did the darkest tinting, it's basically gloss black with a tinge of orange in direct sunlight. He had them out to me in a week.

Yeah... does that thing EVER see dirt? Hahaha

We might go camping this weekend... that's what I bought the Raptor for, to access some rural property... but now I don't want to get it dirty! Hahaha.

Maybe in another week or so... I've only had it 5 days.

Ford has black plastic inserts to replace the orange reflectors available at your friendly neighborhood Ford dealer parts desk. They are, as you might guess, way, way overpriced. So overpriced that I didn't buy them.

Side Mirrors - the reflectors on the front?
