Default Best way to burnout......??????
So I was at a carshow the other night and after its over, a bunch of people do burnouts.......so I decided to pull her out to lay some rubber. I engaged the rear locker, turned off traction control and put it in offroad mode. Pulled out, held the brake a little and slammed the skinny peddle and..........bogged down and didn't spin crap???? Talk about sucking balls, in front of 150+ people. Soooo next month at the next show I gotta come back w/ something. Whats the trick, or best setting?

Ok turn off traction control.

Put car in 1 or 2 gear. Lightly put your foot on brake just enough so that it is engaged and you are not moving. Slowly press the gas an hold the brake enough so you are not moving but not killing the brake.
Keep applying the gas more and more until you start to burnout.

That's my way.

rant- Look out for police. A bunch of car show meet ups around here were cancelled because of irresponsible people doing burn outs and driving recklessly. Burn outs are great way to do nothing but shed good rubber!

Advice - You may need to rev up more before you dump brakes or you may just have to leave it in open diff mode. XBX's advice seems like it may work too.

But...You may need to rev up more before you dump brakes or you may just have to leave it in open diff mode.

This happened at a local car show after this Aston Martin burned out.

Careful!

I heard from someone that you can't overlay the gas and brakes on a 2011. It will cut the power.I t was the result of all of Toyota's troubles. Thanks Prius drivers!

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Also been wondering this. New to a vehicle capable of burnouts. My last truck could barely do it while raining haha

No Joke!!! They wanted to add this crap to my ISF and i told them HELL NO!!!
Driver error It wouldn't surprise if this is an issue they started in 2011. I know my 2010 doesn't have it.... or at least i dont feel like it does. Haven't done a burn out in my on pavement due to the fact i dont feel like i need too. My car would do a hell of a smoke show!!!
