Any Way to Track the Build and Ship?

(Disclamer....I am not a nuclear scientist) OK...In the Nuclear work going critical is good. Going Super Critical is bad. Once I got the build date and VIN I went critical. Now that the build date is coming up (2/21) the control rods are almost all the way out and the reactor core is going super critical!!!!! I'm going churnobal here!!! THAT IS BAD.

Sooo....My question. Is there any way to know when the truck is finished being built and then actually shipped? I hate to bug the crap out of the sales guy in Daytona every day. Wish there was a way to track via a web site like a fed-ex ship tracker....

I just made a post about tracking during shipment. It was called "awaiting delivery...day 4" Once it shipped i called Ford Customer Service cause it was 4 days past suspense. They told me where it was and what truck company it was being hauled by. I called them only because it was stuck 3 hours from here for 4 days....and they told me it was already on it's way to my town, and it did get there that night.

Thanks fellas!! All good info... I'll use a combination. I'm starting to get the shakes now...

I ordered mine from a dealer in Plano, TX on 1/24/11 and was told it would be 7 weeks before delivery.
The dealer called me towards the end of February and advised me that the build date would not be until March 14th. The Dealer told me that it would not be delivered until the end of April.
On March 15th I found a website on this forum to show me my actual window sticker which was available.
Today 3/18/11 I called the above stated SVT 800 number, and I gave them the last 6 of my v.i.n. number and was told that my truck was built and scheduled for delivery to the dealership on 3/28. So it sounds to me that my dealer is putting me off to either
1. have that pretty flame blue SCREW sit on their lot for people to see for a few days.
2. Make them look like heroes when they call me and tell me it was delivered almost a full month before it was supposed to be.

Got told this by my dealer today. Am I getting smoke up my butt?

"We do not have the Vin# but Ford does have one for your vehicle. They do not release it to us until the vehicle is ready for shipping."

That would be a full buttload of smoke. Get your DORA number from the dealer. With that you can call Ford and get the VIN if it has beed assigned. Typically the VIN is assigned 1-2 weeks prior to being built.

OK, will ask for the DORA. Ahhh, what does that stand for?
