I'm not looking to HID swap my front headlight assemblies...

But I prefer the "whiter" look... 0n my 2009 Z06, they do have HID's, but I replaced the bulbs with an even "whiter" bulb.... I think they were called "Sylvania Silver or White Stars"?

My point is.... other than going HID, have any of you swapped out the bulbs on your Raptor yet for something with a whiter type light? IIRC, the single bulb houses both the low beam and high beam bulb somehow...

If you replaced your bulb... do you have any before/after pics?

Brand/Part #?

I swapped mine out, but it wasn't worth it. the lights were like $50 and did pretty much nothing. I just got DDM tuning hids for $70 with hi/lo and WOW what a difference.

you're running OEM housing right? What DDM kit and color did you go with? Pics?

Back on topic, if you're going OEM replacement for halogens, I've heard that most are just covered in tint that changes the color, but you end up losing output. I've heard that the Philips Xtreme bulbs actually do increase output for OEM replacement, but I've never tried it. If you want the real deal, it looks like Wht might have a cheap and usable solution.

Just checked out their website...is the install true to the directions that are given in their PDF doc?

The only bulb you can put in the stock housing and really get an improvement is the Phillips Extreme H13.

The quality of the light is much better/cleaner and patterns out a lot better than the OEM bulbs.

Silverstars are a joke (as are any other "colored" tuner bulbs). Your eye perceives the color tone, but you're not actually getting more lumens or better lighting.

I'll admit, I've bought the Silverstars in the past thinking they were better. After running the Phillips I can say for sure they provide more actual light.

I ran 600k 35w bulbs. I installed the whole thing without the directions it was so easy. If you look at what you have before you start, you can figure it out. The main wire harness plugs into the passenger side h13 headlamp plug. The bulbs plug into the ballasts which plug into the wire harness. Then the wire harness is set up to run across to the other side where you plug in the other ballast and bulb. The driver side h13 is unused with this kit as it specifies it should be. The harness has to ply on the passenger side because it jade to connect go the battery for power. A couple of self tapping screw to ground into the frame and thats it
