Any Jeep owners here? Looks like we are Jeep shopping this weekend for the Mrs. She is hot and bothered for a new Wrangler Rubicon. Not giving up any vehicles. I wish the Raptor aftermarket was as strong as the Jeep aftermarket. It will get a small lift, 35's, bumpers, etc. Any input?

We have a 2010 Wrangler Sport Unlimited and the wife loves it. The Raptor is going to make a nice addition to it, having 2 four wheeling machines.

I had a 2007 Unlimited Rubicon and my only complaint was the lethargic motor but the newer 3.6 is a lot better, nevertheless it still feels wimpy when compared to the Raptors 6.2. The new interiors are awesome and they have every amenity that the Raptor has and can be had loaded for $37K all day long.

I'd recommend a lift, bumpers, winch, better skids and rock rails. I love a good roof rack on those too to make up or the lack of cargo space inside.

When I get tired of the gas bill on the Raptor ill most likely pick up a new Rubicon too.

2006 Rubicon (last of the breed)

It's my daily driver. Probably the only one on the planet that is 100% stock. 32k kms. on it. Absolutely no trouble with it other than regular maintenance.

2012 Sahara Unlimited.

I got the 2012 with the new Pentastar engine. Glad I did after reading up on the difference. So far, so good. The only thing that worries me is underneath it all the damn thing is still a Dodge.

The new Sahara feels like more of a soccermom vehicle when you put it up next to the older SWB Rubicon. It's got a lot more creature comforts, rides nicer and gets better gas mileage to boot.
I have done no heavy duty wheeling with it to date. It seems capable enough though.
