NOOB question:
Are any dealers really getting MSRP or MSRP+ markup for the Raptor? I called my local dealership in NORCAL and they wanted MSRP + $5K... Didn't think there were many cars left that require a premium...

Most dealers in my area are msrp +, some even msrp +$10k. Took me a long time to find a "local" dealer willing to play ball. Ended up ordering from a really small dealer in an even smaller town....ordered $750 over invoice.

Ditto. In SoCal dealers are asking MSRP + 5-10k. Even if they order they're still asking MSRP. I had to order from a dealer 6 hr drive away to get a decent deal of $450 over invoice.

That's why most people recommend you order new and try and get invoice. You really have to search in order to find a good deal on an used one. That's a good thing now for resale purposes but once the market is flooded with used Raptors, the values will depreciate quickly.

When my raptor was totaled by a woman who apparently goes blind when she's behind a windshield, Kearny Pearson Ford was selling at $10k above MSRP...

Can't agree more. I've noticed more private sellers recently and more listings on manhiem within the last few weeks. Still getting familiar with the forum and will hopefully find the right priced raptor shortly.
