What are the must haves, either from the factory, or aftermarket?
I'm talking for multi-use off roading.
For example, maybe the running boards should be replaced with sliders?
A fairly obvious one would be a CB radio.
Even if it's obvious I'd like to hear it.

What are some of the things that maybe you don't need replaced, but people usually do replace?

For example I see some people replacing parts of the suspension. That struck me as odd, considering what the truck comes with.
That's just an example of course, maybe playing with the suspension is fairly rare.

Just trying to figure out how much I may end up spending after the initial purchase.

I realize the truck is probably just fine out of the box, but there are always things we enthusiasts change.
I just want to go into it with as much info as possible.

Thanks,
Mike

The truck is already kind of expensive, dont skimp, get it loaded. The nave and lux packages is must have for me.

As far as mods go, depends on what you plan to do. For me, I did:

Airaid intake
ADD front bumper
Black mirror incerts
Dee Zee tailgate aid
Bedrug
F1 bed cover
20" light bar
HID lights
Mud flaps
Will install RPG bump stop kit this winter
Adjust front shocks to middle perch
VHF/UHF Radio

Considering my age, the tail gate step was a "must have" factory option.

As you read through the threads for motor, suspension, and wheel and tire upgrades, you might find some very tempting upgrades. I found myself spending just less than $9K so far.

Child seat in SuperCab

Was thinking about getting a supercab. Can anyone comment on if a childseat fits in the supercab, and also a brand they reccomend if it does? Need something for a newborn and 2 year old.

The back seat and leg room in the Scab is as large or larger than most cars' back seat.

I've been Hi Jacked!!

Oh No. Call 911 !!! Actually that's how it's done around here.

Just get the thing loaded, including Nav, tailgate step, etc. If financing factory accessories at the dealer (SprayInLiner/Bakflip/Skylink/Alarm/etc) then go ahead and line those items up with your order.

The rest of these highly recommended mods are obtained separately from our awesome vendors.

As far as suspension upgrades and such it's all boils down to once you take it out and see how fast it can go and how well it handles you want more and more.

You can insert pretty much any quote from Talledega Nights about going fast here......
