What about you @beemerman, I'm sure your Raptor is itching to get a few more miles on it before "winter" hits...

Go for the 14 with a 6.2. Big truck gotta have a big motor. As for mpg, my diesel's only got bout 15, my Raptor is doing better than that.

I promise you will be much happier in the Raptor. I went to a F150 Platinum from a F250 diesel and thought that was great. Going from the Platinum to the Raptor was even better. The ride is great stock on the road. I've had mine for about 1 1/2 years and have over 65k miles on it. Most comfortable truck I've owned (and I've owned a bunch). Stock, in flat old Florida, will probably get you to around 15 mpg depending on how you drive. Nothing against your current ride, it looks badass, but it's gonna ride 10x better and mod the Raptor a bit it's gonna look 10x better.

Get the 2014 if price isn't an issue and don't look back.......

Totally agree. You WILL miss some of the diesel lifestyle, the stinky fuel / the clattering / the smoke / the heavy front end, trust me the civility of the Raptor is SO worth it. Amazing ride, competent off road manners, and hey we won't razz ya anymore. Hang up the banjo plinkin lifestyle and join the elevated pleasure of the worlds most sophisticated mass produced North American truck to date. Trust us, we are professionals ha ha.

Buy the raptor, enjoy it and Never look back!

It can be a hard move depending how attached you are, I just ditched my heavily modded '15 for a Raptor. My only regret though is starting over with the mods, it's so great to really get offroad again; my cummins got to the point I didn't want to leave the pavement.

Sometimes I miss that lifestyle when I see another Diesel or god forbid my old one, but then I think of how much more I can accomplish in the Rapt - good luck.

I must say, mega cab, Avalanche style side boxes, nice lift, wheels n tires. It is a sharp looking truck. Still .........

I purchased mine this summer from a fellow member and truly wish I didn't have to let it go, it's an amazing machine with some awesome (and tasteful) modifications. So to add to @kromealt's post, you won't have to start over with mods!

I went from a one tone Chevy crew cab diesel (SRW) - that had lots of good mods. Like you I no longer had a heavy trailer to tow, just a boat and/or smaller open trailer for quads, SBS etc. I was afraid I would miss the diesel power and the real truck goodness of the HD.

I found a buyer for my truck, so I decided to make the change. I bought a 2014 Crew Cab Raptor and have never looked back (owned it 18 months and 43k miles later) - love the Raptor ride and how it drives and feels. Super nice truck. Given what I tow the Raptor with 6.2L is all I need.

Only downside is I get 12 mpg (I drive fast) in the Raptor and about 9 mpg towing. I did better than that by about 3 mpg in the diesel - on both fronts.

I am very happy I made the change. My mods are just SVC rear Bump Kit, deaver + 2 rear springs, some lights, blacked out the bumper and wheel arch's, Method wheels etc...

Unless I get a heavy trailer I will be in a Raptor going forward! When the new one comes out I will probably make the change after it has been out for a year or so and give mine to my son.
