Hey guys, im looking at buying a 2011 raptor supercrew. fully loaded. 86,000 miles though. Truck was originally canadian and imported to the USA. Clean carfax. The truck is very clean inside and out. Looks like a typical mall crawler. Dealer is asking $36,000 for it. Whats your opinions? There arent many others in the PNW at that price thats fully loaded. Do these trucks last? The 6.2l a good motor? Suspension holds up well over time?

Thanks

Not sure about titling of a built for Canada vehicle?
Price seems @ market value, you should expand your search area and check all options before you pull the trigger. Check for rust on a truck from Canada.

I noticed surface rust on the shocks and some oxidation in the engine bay. I didnt see any serious rust but I did not crawl under the truck since it was pouring rain out. Its already titled here in the PNW yet was originally in canada. Carfax says it was in calgary.

There is a for sale thread here
Check the rockers that's a problem area for rust.
Your shocks may need a rebuild. There up for a rebuild approximately at 50 as per the manufacturer Fox.
The navigation probably needs an upgrade just these two things can run you over 1.5k tires breaks and the usual. Do the Carfax check VIN with Ford dealer if the have any history on the truck like maintenance history and recall history

I spoke to the dealer about the shocks and the nav. They gave me the "shocks are fine. most people upgrade." line... w/e, I probably would upgrade anyways or rebuild them myself. They also said they'd upgrade the nav for free before I pick it up. They use AutoCheck for their vehicles. I ran it through there and carfax and didnt get any history on the pickup other than showing where its been registered. I did a recall check and no recalls are currently open for the pickup via VIN.

I think im gonna pull the trigger. Its a very clean pickup and honestly the best crew cab in terms of price and mileage factored in within a 1000 mile radius.

Hey man my 2011 might be for sale still at Kirkland. It had everything including ADD bumpers, Retrax Pro, brand new factory wheels and rubber and 20" Fuel .. also a $6000 satin wrap, it was seriously loaded. Had 60k miles. I just traded it for a 2017.

It's the nicest raptor in the NW. It's beautiful .. the one in my avatar.

Check shocks for leaks. Test drive it check the alignment n that it stops in line no pulling.
Listen to front end for clunks turning steering wheel both ways and listen for n feel for steering rack whine. Driver's window switch
Good Luck
And your auto insurance may offer to add break down and repair , just gotta ask. And don't turn on your rear window defroster when it's freezing out, some rear windows have shattered.
