Looks like I'm going to be making the jump from Jeep Wrangler to Ford Raptor (bailouts helped that decision). I have two Raptor Questions. SuperCrew vs SuperCab? I have a 2 /12 year old and another on the way. How is Raptor in the snow, like on un-plowed roads? Sand I'll never really see. Mud...not really worried. But it would be nice to know your truck can get you out of the Zombie Apocalypse.

With your growing family, I would go with the Super Crew. I don't know about the snow; I live in the south. Welcome aboard!

yes welcome to the forum!! :waytogo: I was going to say Super Cab because that shorter wheelbase will b more jeep-like, but with wee-ones def get the Super Crew
my first day of raptor ownership we had a crazy ice-storm and I can say from that is yes they handle pretty well in far from good conditions

Go with the SuperCrew, my Kids love it and we have room for them and their friends I would not change it for anything they actually prefer riding in my Raptor to my wife's 2012 King Ranch Expedition is is extremely roomy

I have a 2.5 year old, too, and I have a S-Cab and it has worked out great. Plus, I REALLY like the shorter wheelbase.

You definitely want the super crew. I have a super cab and it's tight with kids for sure. So you should think about getting the bigger screw as most are suggesting. I have yet to drive mine in snow but I researched it alot before I bought as I do a lot of ski trips and the consensus is that it handles great in winter conditions. The guys on the east coast here on the forum can probably give better feedback on the snow though.

If you are having a hard time deciding between the S-Cab and S-Crew, the Raptor cabs have the same interior dimensions as other F-150s. Take your car seats to the dealership, find an F-150 (one with power seats, if you are getting the lux package), adjust the driver's seat how you like it and then put the car seats in and see how they fit.

I like the room the screws give but unfortunately I don't care for the overly massiveness. I don't have kids but if you like to spoil them, DEF. SCREW. If you aren't the spoiling type, go SCAB! Both have plenty of room in my opinion. If your buying the truck to serve its purpose, go Scab. Scabs are also becoming out the ordinary which is great because I see screws everywhere. You have to also consider where you'll be parking. The screw also burns .6-.8 mpg less hwy/city as well than the SCAB. Your truck is already going to be wider than most of course but when you couple this with a long wheel base.....talk about a PITA parking I can only imagine. My scab I love the handling and power. If you test drive both, you will notice the screw being a very tad bit more sluggish.

Hope this helps ya out!

I have a 5 year old and the SCab works out fine for her if we put her car seat behind my wife. I'm tall enough at 6'5 that she actually can't sit behind me because there's only about 4" of leg room behind my seat.

How well the SCab will work out for you is going to depend on how tall you are IMO, so when you go to make your decision make sure to look at that. I find myself wishing I had bought a SCrew once in awhile because of how massive the back seats are on them.

Off road though...I like my SCab.

Welcome and congrats either way though, you'll be completely happy whichever way you go.
