Find a 6.2L V8 Raptor and call it a day. You can not even compare the performance between the 5.4 and 6.2. ^^^^^Plus what he said too much to consider (hidden cost) to adapt the 6.2 into a 5.4 original truck. Plus consider the age of the 5.4 Raptor and you will be doing shocks, this that and on and on...

But...if you're looking for a cheap platform to build a beast off of, a 5.4 can be had for ~20k. Then you just switch out the shocks with the kit of your choice. They're not absolute dogs, but the 6.2 is definitely faster.
