Upgrading stock OEM trans cooler

Any cons of doing this mod?

Thanks for the info Trick Raptor, I just got off the phone with Cory at RPG and got a larger tranny cooler ordered. Since I pull a good size boat up to Tahoe I have seen trans. temps hit 230 when the temp is 105 in Auburn. Might go ahead and get the larger AFE trans pan to for extra insurance.

I will post my results when I get it installed.

While you're at it consider adding a dipstick/filler tube so you can monitor and add fluid fight from under the hood.

Interesting, I see the part, but no real explanation of how that works? What's the cliff note version?

It screws in replacing cap and is sealed as well.
But for $190 vs a good pair of gloves, ill take the gloves. Not like it has to be done very often

Trans was 190* and believe me the cats were hot
With the right gloves, i was never under stress

It's badically what it is... a dipstick & filler tube to check trans oil, and add more if ever needed. The trans for these trucks never came with them, and to check the trans oil you need to crawl under truck to deal with a hot exhaust and fumble with a plug located in the stock pan.

This makes it more convenient like it has always been in the past.

You can install it yourself, if you work on cars/trucks or have a shop do it, since it's a simple install and shouldn't be an expensive labor charge.

So it snakes all the way up from the tranny hole to under the hood and has a giant ass dipstick?

The dipstick will work with any aftermarket pan? I was just about to order the PML pan.
