Service manager just emailed me back after seeing the video I posted here.
He says it sounds like the air rushing around the throttle plate. He just had one in there with the exact same issue.

I asked him what did they do to fix it and when to bring my truck in.

More to come.

Keeps us posted please

It just hit me. When he referred to the "tan one" he was referring to their new terrain one for sale on the lot. Someone drove it and complained of the squeal. That brand new raptor that hasn't sold has the same issue so they are trying to get it figured out so they can sell it.

Oddly enough I haven't heard the noise lately on my truck.

The only thing different I've done to the truck is add smoked tail lights so I know THAT didn't fix it, haha.

Definitely would really like to know what it is since I have a feeling it may just pop back up out of nowhere.

Email from my service manager....

Ford says that they are aware of the concern but it has no safety issues so the will let us know as soon as they decide what they are doing. I would imagine that there will be a gasket with fins on it to redirect the air.

It was the tail lights... like a typical woman, you never check your blinker fluid and it ran out. New tail lights were full and noise went away. Glad I could help.

(sorry... couldn't help myself)

The problem has cropped back up and its now louder than before ( I can even hear it with the windows rolled up ). Let us know TBone what Ford decides to do and if there is any case # / TSB, etc that we can reference when talking to our dealers about the problem.

It may be a while Im afraid until we get a fix from Ford. Since my buddy the service manager at my dealership said they are aware but don't know what to do yet, it can take some time. You guys that have it should report it to your dealership and let them also let ford know. If theres 50 people waiting then thats better than just a couple.

As soon as anything develops then I will let everyone know. Im giving my buddy some time and will follow up with him in a few weeks if I haven't heard from him.

Ok guys heres an update.

I went by to pick up some motor craft synthetic oil and a filter today to do my first oil change. Talked with my buddy, "service director." He said he has talked to the regional guy and district guy from ford on this. Of course they are aware of it. Higher ups at ford are aware as well. The reps told him that all of the 2014's are affected.
I asked are they going to do a recall, he said maybe but he didn't know. Ford isn't saying anything except that they are aware of it. I told him to tell the ford people to change it back to how it used to be. My 2011 raptor didn't have this problem. He said back that the explorer used to have a problem like this and the fix was a piece in the intake that has some fins on it. It disrupted the air so it wouldn't make the sound. Problem with that fix is it will cause our raptors to loose horsepower and they don't want that to happen. Thats all ford says. They aren't saying they have a fix, will have a fix or anything.
If we want this fixed were going to have to call Ford and raise heck I am afraid. We all need to band together to get this problem resolved. Am I thinking right guys? That loud squeal is aggravating as heck and I hate hearing it as I drive with my windows down. Makes me think a pulls is falling apart.
