Transmission gear display

Anybody know why the transmission gear display that lets you know what gear you are in the instrument cluster seems to come and go. Am I hitting a switch that turns this off and on?

Tap the upshift switch on your gear shifter and it will come back or go away, what ever your preference is.

yep...just hit the + on the shifter.

Thank you, thank you! Brought my 2011 in for a small service a month or so ago....had honestly never seen the gear indicator before on the panel. Got the truck back, voila.....there it was. Here I'm thinkin' they updated something during the service.....when all they updated was my failure to read the manual
