At random times the screen between the gauges displays a blue Trailer Connected message followed quickly by an orange Trailer Disconnected message.

Anyone else experience this? I took it to the dealership once and they couldn't find the problem.

Direct experience - clean the plug out on the truck real good and coat the prongs with dielectric grease. Check and clean every few months.

The plug covers on these trucks don't do a real good job of keeping debris and water out of them.....

I had this happen a bunch with my super duty towing my raptor on a trailer. The wire to one of the brakes was loose and when I hit a bump it would lose connection. The trailer connected system works off of the brakes only. A 4 prong trailer won't even register as connected.

I have the same issue every time I pull a trailer.
