Mine absolutely hard shifts. I've got one of the first 2010 6.2's which they really should have called 2011's since they were so late delivering. I believe there is now officially a recall on the driveshaft for 2011's. I've heard other guys say their 2010's were affected. I just left a message at the dealer for them to look at this and get back to me. Wish there was a way I could check this myself. If anybody knows how please share!

Also to boot i've had the clutches and control assembly replaced on my tranny due to hard shifts. It will slip then bang into a gear. New clutches and the tranny gone through zero problems

I had my 2011 with 21k miles on it at the dealer because in cool weather i had a shift flare from 2nd to 3rd and sometime from 4tth to 5th. It also exhibited a delay at times when shifting into reverse. They found a tsb for this very problem and are replacing 4 control modules in the tranny. I'll get the tsb number and the exact fix when I take it back to have the repair done next week.

Same problem. 2-3 shift 550 rpm jump then dump and 300ish~ rpm jump then dump 4-5th. They have a TSB for the control modules but that didn't fix mine they replaced the clutches and seem to take care of it. 24K at replacement.

Mines been doing this every so often so I brought it into the dealership and they just did some kind of update and sent me on my way. This was about month ago. 2 days ago I'm driving on freeway and getting ready to pass so I just give it gas easy not hard,
engine starts revving up then BANG.
Loudest I have ever heard it and jerked by head back big time.
Going in tomorrow to complain AGAIN.

My worst shift is now at start up when the fluid is cold... The almost every first 1-2 shift is a slam now. After that, its fine...

Had I done the 5 star tune, I would have been on the line for over $2600. My dealer said that they have to check for tunes when dealing with trans or motor issues. Adjusting shift point is a good way to have the warranty denied on trans work.

TSB 11-10-15
Turns out my Main Control Unit was going bad. They referenced TSB 11-10-25.

The truck feels much better now. I know the trans will shift hard when cold, but hopefully the hard shifts when downshifting will go away.
