It kinda makes sense. If you've ever seen the video of the Dearborn factory, you'll see that each part is put on one by one as the truck itself moves down the line. It could be possible that just one part got out of place in the parts bin.

As far as I'm aware, they put it there and it should work properly!

I think that's kinda cool.. I'd leave it. If they get it to work then you'll have a one of a kind vehicle. If they don't, you still have a one of a kind vehicle!

Meanwhile someone with heated seats has a missing switch and is wondering if it requires the three seashells to enable.

Interesting thing is, we all have a fuse marked for rear seat heat. I believe it is fuse 74 (or 72). When I saw the fuse, I figured it was just a residual from a Lariat or Harley.

wonder if they're prewired for it and all we need is the seat heaters and door switches.

It'd be interesting if you pop your window switch out and see if something is plugged into the heated seat part.

A lot of times all the wiring is the same. Same case on my 00 HD, it was prewired for signal mirrors and ford didn't even have signal mirrors in 00 lol.

You should leave it in, when someone in the back says, "I can't get the seats to heat up", tell them they have to press the button and fart.

- Ya, I'm really 46.
