Potential for faded paint with rain guards?

Previous owner looks to have installed the rain guards directly on the paint. Curious if this is likely to show mismatched paint when I take them off, or if the risk is minimal.

Truck is 4.5 years old, but unsure when they would have added the guards.

Truck's already bought, just looking for feedback from people who have had rain guards previously that may have removed them. Was the paint a mismatch then? How long did you have them on, etc.

I may be up a creek here as I believe standard install puts the 3m tape on the rubber portion of the window or as an inline insert to the frame--not aware of anything that suggests installing on directly onto the body.
