I got a canister purge valve and attempting to put it on but I hit a slight stop. The rear hose has some sort of plastic clamp on it, white and black with two ears at the bottom. How does the clamp work? Trying to remove it and I know it has something to do with squeezing the two tabs together at the bottom. If possible, some help for a noob would be great.

So far so good. No issues since installing the canister purge valve. Tremendous thanks to those who posted here with helpful advice.

I spoke too soon. Stranded again and have no idea why it's not firing. Off to the dealership in the morning.

Well I spoke with the service rep from the local dealership. He informed me that the truck cranked right up. I told him the story and how its stranded me multiple times. This started after I took it in for a tune up, could this be related in some fashion? I know I'm reaching but he didnt sound very positive and who could blame him. How do you fix something that is not or does not seem broken?

Typical truck knowing its at the dealership and won't behave.

Kinda like a dog that loves car rides, but knows when its gonna be a ride to the vet.
