No real solution as of yet. I haven't had any luck finding a wire that is hot only when the lights come on.

I will probably just connect using an add a fuse to an accessory relay (fuse 35 on mine will work) that is hot whenever the truck is running. That would mean the lights would always be on but it's better than nothing.

If I find a better option I will post. There's got to be a wire that's only hot when the lights come on...just have to find it.

Yeah I thought of that too. I have one spare switch available.

I was just hoping to have a solution that didn't require me to flick a switch just for convenience (and laziness).

I also looked at connecting it through the ambient light sensor on the dash but that doesn't seem to be feasible. I'll look into it some more before I give up and wire it into a switch lol.
