Hi everyone. I just got out of my 2011 super duty diesel and into this raptor. What a great truck.

As I was driving it home, I noticed a ratting in what appears to be in the front suspension. While driving over rough roads, I feel a clunking/rattling under the floor boards in the front.

Any ideas of what I could look for? I will eventually take it back to the dealer but if it's something simple it may not be worth the trip.

Anyway, thanks for any help.

I did a search and found some posts on a clunking in the driveshaft when starting/stopping but this issue is only when driving.

This was a common thing in the 2010 model year and I don't think I've heard of it in the 2011's again. My 2010 had it and my 2011 does not.

Yikes. I found a thread on ford************ about this same issue that is 20 pages long.

Looks like an issue that Ford is turning their noses at.

If you found it on the Z then I'd take it with a grain of salt. They kind of blew the bent frame issue way out of proportion. I'm heading out to drive mine in about an hour, so I'll see if mine does it and report back.

If I were you I'd just give my front end a once over and look for loose fasteners and such.

Anyhow I'll get back with you.

from the factory mine had a rattle in the front as well i just looked around and found that a pair of brake lines were not clipped into their holder. i popped them in and this took care of it. the clip was located drivers side just below the master cylinder. iv also heard that the shocks can click but my 2011 doesn't do this even after heavy off-roading. good luck. another way to check is take a gopro if you have one and attach it to something down by where you think the noise is and record it over a bumpy road. you can for sure hear the shocks click in some of the vids i have seen. good luck.

well after being out running around I didn't note any front end rattle in my truck. I even went pretty fast over some speed bumps and didn't hear anything. Fordandchevy had some good ideas to check too.

If your dealer won't help you out, maybe try another one.

My 2011 has done that since new. It is not nearly as quiet as the Lariat was when going over small bumps. I figured that it was just the nature of the "beast" If you take it to the dealer, please post if they find anything...

I am curious to see what you find out. I can remember if my truck makes noise going over bumps. Its been so long since I have driven it but I will surely check it out.
