Check the seal in the 3rd brake light. I have heard of issues where water gets in a creates all sorts of trouble.

i would actually point to the HID ballasts or the LED turn signals wigging your system out long before i blamed the tune.

Water was causing stray voltage to ground, back feeding through hid ballasts causing lights to stay on..

The green build up is oxidation on the circuit board. Kindof like rust.. I would suggest a trip to stealership and have it replaced under warranty, along with the gasket. Otherwise it will eventually leak bad enough to ruin your headliner (you might want to check for dampness, before going to dealer)

Dang! I noticed moisture in one of my rear lights yesterday and now I read this. My top center light with the LED's burnt out two months ago.
Crappy seals.

Modern serial communication and control systems have created a solution for these problems, and that's the steering column control module, a single component that integrates all the functions of those many individual pieces. The amount of wiring is reduced, reliability is up thanks to new electronic techniques supplanting older wear-prone designs. The module includes all sorts of stuff like headlamp switches, turn signals, tilt/telescope control, hazard lamps, steering angle sensor and electronic turn signal cancel, which is unique to the new Ford modules.

Because there was a fault to ground in the lighting CAN-bus circuit, it effects everything on that circuit (system)

I am sure one of the Ford gurus can help clarify or correct me.
