Default Fuel Fill Inlet
The other day, i turned on the truck as usual, and as soon as it fired up the Message "check fuel fill inlet" came up. Wtf. Googled the problem, suggestions are to spray a little bit of WD40 and stick the plastic filler tube in and out multiple times. did this procedure a couple of times….the warning light still comes up. any other suggestions?

It's the new check gas cap warning- your shit isn't sealing up right so it's failing the self test. Might just need to replace the filler neck/assembly. I don't think it's all that difficult to replace.

Even after you correct the issue, the indicator will still light up until it resets.

I think it actually works off of key starts. Mine did it once and I did the WD40 thing. Took about 3-4 days to finally reset. Warning lights drive me nuts though, so I feel your pain......

Thanks for the input. I realize its just a bullshit issue. Will try disconnecting battery and may be ordering new filler neck. Cleaned the shit out of the inlet...brining scanner tonight will check and reset the code. Thank you again guys.
