Got it thanks. Got a Dodge Ram now that has no way to lock down either. Giving that to my son and seriously looking into a 2013 Raptor.

yeah, dont offroad with your tailgate left down....I drove the ranch road from getting work done on my raptor at the last raptor run in TX, and either it was left down or came undone...either way....that ended with the tailgate destroyed...and they are a couple thousand dollars to replace.

that sucks wonder about a ez down if that would help probably not in an off road type situation.

If you get the factory extender with a soft factory cover you will not be able to release the cover latches so you can fold back the cover when needed. I am trashing mine and ordering a AMP extender. Also the extender uses up valuable space in the bed and is a pain to remove.
