They are calling mid perch a 4" lift.


That's crazy. They can look at the shock rings difference between them to see it is not 4". Are you on 35" tires?

Problem is your extended warranty has also denied it based on this dealership. Is it a Ford warranty or 3rd party?

Personally I would try a different dealership and if you still run into a road block, I would change them myself. Then go to another dealership to fix the rest of it if doesn't solve the issue with the full IWE replacement

You can get the Dorman's on Amazon shipped next day. These are an easy fix. If someone can do it balls deep in a snowdrift at the Snoball you can knock this out in your driveway in less than an hour per side.

I took the truck back to carmax where purchased and they sent me to ford next door. That ford dealer said that was bs and will look at it next week. They will contact the third party warranty as well so I don't have problems in the future. The paperwork from Gosh Ford Temecula say "aftermarket lift". I would not recommend this dealer.

Sounds like you are making progress, awesome. Curious, did you buy it already on mid-perch?

Yes the new Ford dealer said it is the transfer case making the noise and is replacing it with a new one. Just waiting for the new one to arrive. I should get it back by the end of the week. Hope that fixes the problem.

I got it back with a new transfer case and still had the problem. I took it back today and now they tell me I have an outer axle bearing cracked due to water intrusion and it will be almost 2k for fix.

Anyone have a diagram of the front Diff on our trucks? I guess I will be doing this next weekend.

The trucks are permitted to travel through water per the Raptor Supplement. If water got in there, it was due to a defective part and replacement should be covered under warrant.

How do they replace the transfer case and not fix the issue? Sounds like the did unnecessary work and charged Ford for it. Now they want to charge you to fix something else.

Have you replaced the vacuum valve yet? It's a $60 pay and simple to change. This will ensure your iwes are properly engaged. When the iwe slips, it wears out (quickly). Once you have a properly working system, replace the IWEs.
