3rd Brake Light.

The brake light mounted on the cab is leaking into my cab, I've put it off for a bit and then happened to forget about it till I washed my truck and finally decided to look in the back seat and seen a little bit of water again. This isn't covered under my extended warranty apparently, will cost like $500 for parts/labour... Before I spend that money, is there a quick/permanent fix that I could do myself to keep it from leaking? I think I seen a post on here before about it but I can't seem to find it.

Buy a new light for $125 and be done with it

A new light housing will for sure solve the problem?

It's a known fact that they leak. Ford redesigned the seal and people that have replaced it have not reported further issues

Alright, thanks. I just ordered up a new assembly, will just install it myself instead of giving them an extra few hundred bucks.
